Leadership lives here
The people who experienced our pilot are still at the center of this work. They're serving on our board, helping lead the Cash for Coloradans Coalition, and organizing through the Basic Income Solidarity Community. We believe the people closest to an issue should have real power in deciding what happens next. Their experience informs our work, challenges our assumptions, and helps shape policies that meet people where they are.
What we learned, and what we're doing with it
We built the largest guaranteed income program in the country for people experiencing homelessness, and we've spent the years since making sure the lessons travel. Our playbook, Transformative Cash, lays out how we did it and what we'd do differently. Our documentary, Unconditional, follows three participants through it. And our research partnerships with the Center for Guaranteed Income Research at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Denver’s Center for Housing and Homelessness Research is still producing findings.
Support that goes beyond cash
Unconditional cash is the foundation of what we do and it has never been all of it. We keep phones and service paid for participants who need them, we open doors to training and opportunities, and we stay connected to people long after a program ends. Right now we're designing what comes next, including new models for shared wealth built with the community they're meant to serve.
